An Interview with: Clock & Candle Co.

I met Nick, 1/2 of the business Clock & Candle Co., in 6th grade. We became friends and never looked back. When I found out he started a soap company (at that point, they ONLY sold soaps), I bought something right away. I love supporting small businesses, ESPECIALLY if they're friends'. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The soaps smelled amazing and even better, my hands felt great after using them! I got another one for a family member's Christmas gift and she loved it too. Now that Clock & Candle is selling more and more products, it's exciting to watch it grow. I decided to interview Nick to show everyone a behind the scenes look AND to show how wonderful this company is. AND for all my followers, don't forget to look at the bottom of this post! 1) What made you want to get into the soap business 
✨So I can't take all of the credit, the whole shop itself was founded by both myself and my cousin with just a wild curiosity and a couple of YouTube video viewing sessions up our sleeves.



2) Disney has a big influence on you and your products. What gave you the idea to combine your products with Disney?
✨"big" is an understatement, you should really call us mouse ear wearing fanatics. The whole foundation and reasoning of us starting the shop was to take all of the profit that we have made and use that towards taking our entire family back to Walt Disney World after that major depression you have on the last day of your vacation. We made a promise that the only thing they had to do was pack for the trip. That drive motivates us to this day.

3) For your customers that are new, what all do you sell?
✨We like to believe that we are not only a shop for the Disney kids, whether that be actual kids or just the ones at heart, but that our products can hold up against major retailers. Every product that we sell: Bar soap, bath bombs, Lotion melts, lip balms, etc. all have a major hygienic and cruelty-free function that just so happens to have the subtle but perfect amount of pixie dust. 


4) Is there a certain product that you have been eyeing to make but just haven't done it yet?
✨ We are always trying to be innovative and supply what is demanded. But at the same time wanting to deliver newer products that you can't buy at your normal overly-priced bath product shop. At the moment, I'm really aiming for "Fresh Facial Masks." It's a work in progress right now but it's going through it's trial and error and experimental phase as we speak. 

5) Which product is your best seller
✨There's something very classic and almost nostalgic with our hand crafted bar soaps, but bath bombs are the thing to have right now! So those are probably the items we have to restock the most of.

6) Tell me about YOUR favorite product
✨This one is a tough one... I'll stick with our classic soap, either between our "Beneath the Sea" or "Lost Boy" scents. Depends on if I'm feeling merman-ish or rough around the edges. However, after these masks become perfected it'll probably be those. I'm a sucker for a good facial.

7) I need a new movie on Netflix to watch. Give me a suggestion.
✨If we are sticking to the Disney theme, Walt Before Mickey was pretty good, and David Henrie is in it and he's a babe. But if we are thinking non-Disney related: The Little Prince.
