Interview with a Teacher

Wednesday, May 17, 2017

I met Lauren when the universe put us together as roommates in college. Since those days, our friendship has grown and so have our lives and careers. I wanted to interview Lauren because I have SO many friends who are teachers and thought that it would be cool if I made a relatable post for them. So now, enjoy a post on the perspective of a high school teacher:

1) How did you know you wanted to be a teacher?

I grew up around people involved in schools. My dad was a teacher, my mom was a physical therapist within the school district. A lot of my parents’ friends were teachers, so I grew up knowing and understanding (vaguely) how a school system worked. And looking back, while other kids were playing house or doctor, I was playing school. I would set up my stuffed animals at desks I made out of piles of books or tissue boxes and I would teach them lessons and I would complete their assignments for them. (God, I was a lonely child.)
When I was a senior in high school, that’s when I definitely decided that I was going into theatre education. I’d debated for a while about just doing a straight theatre performance degree, but I recognized that there wouldn’t be much of a job market for that. The education aspect would give me a little more of a pool and would still let me interact with theatre.

2) What grades and classes do you teach?

Junior English, Senior English, Creative Writing, Speech, and Drama. A majority of my students are juniors and seniors, but the ‘other’ classes are open to any grade level.

3) Was it difficult going straight from college to teaching?

I’m not sure if ‘difficult’ is the right term. ‘Whirlwind’, certainly.
Basically, my story is this: I graduated college in May of 2015. I went home, I applied to a few schools that I went to in my town, had one interview that was kind of disastrous, and planned to spend my first year out of school as a sub. Then, early in June, I woke up to a voicemail from one of my high school principals, asking me if I’d be interested in applying to a new school district that was opening in August. I called him back, found out they would basically tailor my classes to suit my interests and abilities, and agreed to submit my information (keep in mind, I had NOT previously applied for this school-- they were literally coming after ME). A few days later, I interviewed with the principal of the new high school (who was a teacher of mine from my days in high school). He was very positive and welcoming, but it was a weird adjustment to go from ‘teacher/student’ to ‘boss/colleague’. A few hours after my interview, he called me back and said they wanted to hire me.
There are plenty of teachers who get hired once they leave college. But the fact that my major was so unheard of and the fact that the school district was opening the year I graduated and the fact that the two people in charge were people I knew from when I was in school…. I’m not sure I believe in God, but some cosmic force was certainly working in my favor.
After getting hired, I immediately began to freak out. I literally had no idea what to do-- sure, I’d spent 10 weeks student teaching all of the subjects they wanted me to teach, but HOW THE HELL DO I DO IT ON MY OWN?
Teaching is a learning process, especially within a new district that’s still trying to figure out where they’re going. So while I was a little unsure of myself, I took comfort in the idea that the rest of the teachers, even though they were veterans, were going through an adjustment period. And a few of the teachers were really welcoming and helped me out tremendously during my first few weeks (actually, they still help me out), so it made it a little easier to get along.

4) You're fairly young on the teacher scale. Do students ever see you as a friend instead of a teacher?

Ha, probably.
When I started, there were only 5 years separating me from half of my students (and I heard from a few that when they walked in, they thought I was a new student…). I wasn’t really sure how to assert myself as the adult, but the students took everything in stride and treated me with respect. I got to truly know and love some of my students. In certain classes, I could joke around with them and enjoy what was happening, but they would still listen to me when I said, ‘okay, time to settle down and get this done’. That, I think, is one of my best accomplishments.
I have a few students (mostly those involved in the drama club) that tell me they’re going to become my best friends when they graduate. For the most part, I don’t mind-- so long as they wait until they graduate to try and initiate a friendship. I have a self-rule that I won’t accept any social media requests from students-- once they graduate, sure, I’ll accept friend requests (if I liked having them in class). But until then, it’s a no-go.
And then, of course, there’s the awkward student who has a crush on me. He definitely tries to get away with calling me ‘Lauren’ in class and tries to smooth-talk his way out of assignments (and he asked me to prom in the middle of class-- I wish I was kidding). I cannot wait for him to graduate (if he does-- I’m still missing assignments from him) and be done with him, but since I live in a small town, I fear that he’s just going to appear at my house in the summer.
(On the other hand, I had a girl tell me the other day, “I was so scared to talk to you when I first saw you. Like, terrified”. So… there’s that.)

5) You have a lot of loves: Theatre, Disney, Neil Patrick Harris, ect. Do you ever incorporate things you like into your classes?

Obviously I can incorporate a lot of my favorite plays and musicals into my drama class. But I can fit a lot of other stuff in my other classes as well.
For example: every powerpoint I show in my speech class, there’s a picture of Neil Patrick Harris somewhere in it. I’m not sure if my students caught on to that, but it made me enjoy it a little more. I also have a poster of NPH in my classroom. Some days, I look at him and just pray he gives me strength to get through whatever stupidity is happening around me.
I like making references to things I like during class and if they’re more modern references, most of the time my students understand them. I’ve made Deadpool references in class, saying (school-appropriate) quotes that applied to whatever was happening, and one of my students was just like, “Holy crap! That’s awesome!” Since then, I’ve noticed him being more engaged in class, so that’s definitely a benefit.
I’ve also recently started purchasing Disney outfits to wear to work. They can, surprisingly, make some of my days easier.

6) I know you're required to teach certain things, but is there something that you hate teaching?

RESEARCH PAPERS.
Dear God, kill me. I hate them with a firey passion. The teaching part isn’t too bad-- after all, a majority of the unit is spent with the students writing the papers, so I really don’t have too much to do. But the grading kills me. Junior papers are 6-8 pages, Senior papers are 8-10. Granted, some kids sluff off and don’t attempt to meet the page requirement, so that makes it a little easier. But sometimes the writing is just so horrible and they don’t follow directions and there’s no citations… it makes me want to scream and cry and tear my hair out and throw my computer out the window.

7) If you were to find $2,045, what would you do with it?

Depends-- do I get to spend it on myself, or do I have to use it for school?
If it’s for school, I would buy so much stage makeup-- literally every color of creme makeup that Ben Nye sells. I’d also buy some class sets of plays for them to read, because I’m tired of reading Oedipus Rex and Much Ado About Nothing.

If it’s for me, I’d spend it on a trip to Disney for Halloween. It’s one of my dreams to go there during that time, because Halloween is awesome (duh). That’s the only time they bring out the face characters for Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas. They also bring out more villains at that time, and Flynn Rider comes out more around that time (#MeetUpGoals). And Disney has new-ish parade for Halloween that brings out all those characters plus the ghosts from the Haunted Mansion and I just NEED to be there. Plus, I could wear my own Sally dress and not be judged too much.

-----------

I want to thank Lauren for taking time out of her day to give me this interview. And I also want to thank all the teachers for being a staple in people's lives because without teachers, we wouldn't be where we are today.

Mental Health Awareness Week

Wednesday, May 10, 2017

Mental health has been something that I (which many people know) am very outspoken about. I've been diagnosed with a mental illness once when I was 5 years old and got diagnosed with another one when I was 14 years old, so I've really never known my life without it.  I've been to many hospitals and had 16 surgeries within a year to help me sort of over come what was happening to my brain. I wrote a mental health blog in 2015 (I believe...) that documented my journey and it sparked a lot of positive discussion and people who I haven't talked to in years were messaging me telling me their stories. I recently had a thought come to my mind when I was looking at old pictures of myself: was I more interesting when I was suffering the most? 2015 was my worst year I've ever had. I was broken beyond repair. Yet my artwork was turning out cool,  I was very pretty because I always wore makeup, my writing became more poetic,  and people were caring about me and asking if I was okay. Part of my brain was telling me to stop living but looking back, I was living the life. Yet, I didn't look deep enough into it: my artwork was actually a little disturbing, my makeup hid my sadness, my writings were only about death, and the worst part of it all was that 98% of the people who asked if I was okay won't talk to me now that I'm better. Do I REALLY want to go back to that place so I could be more "interesting?"

The answer is mostly no. I'm doing a lot better now but I will never be 100%. The reason for the 'mostly' part is because mental illness is apart of me and most of my life I didn't know how to control it so it became who I was. I don't miss it per-say, I'm just trying to find out how to live my life where I can put it on a back burner and not be overrun by it.

I will always want to talk about it, though. Mental health effects so many people yet talking about it is sometimes seen as absurd. I will always remember one time when my family was on vacation when I was admitted into a mental health hospital and need someone to pick me up when I was let out. My mom called my friend who absolutely refuses to acknowledge that mental health is a real thing to see if she could pick me up. My mom says "Megan's in the hospital." And my friend replied with "Oh great. AGAIN?" and said she couldn't pick me up. To this day, it hurts me a little still to know that I was in pain and because she refuses to acknowledge mental illness, she couldn't even DRIVE ME HOME. This is one of the many reasons that Mental Health Awareness Week is so important. To learn. To accept . To listen. You may not be able to fix people. But you can help them.

Top 5: April 28th, 2017

Friday, April 28, 2017

I think I've mentioned this tons of times, but I really love Top 5. I see other bloggers do it and even YouTuber's do it for videos (it may be named and worded differently, but it's the same thing). I also love how no one ever will have your same favorites list. It's all unique. Plus, it's fun. Okay, now that I'm done with my ranting of Top 5, here's your dose of my current favorites:

1) Stella Rosa black wine. I know a lot of you aren't of age or don't drink, so you can just skip this one. But recently I went to buy my favorite wine (Stella Rosa red) and they were out of it. HOW DARE THEY. I saw Stella Rosa black right next to it and it said 'semi-sweet', the same as the red wine. So I asked the cashier what the difference was and he goes "I dunno. They're both sweet." So I decided to give it a try.....and it's literally the 2nd best wine I've ever tasted. It tastes exactly like juice, so I felt about 4 years old, but it was just SO GOOD. I love sweet wine, so it was heaven. Highly recommend if you like wine that's 5 on the dry-sweet scale (if you drink wine, you know what I'm talking about haha).

2) Sign of the Times by Harry Styles. If you like 70's-esque Bowie inspired music, this song is for you. I am obsessed with Harry Styles but I'm a realist: if he doesn't have a good song, I would say it. I actually was not a fan of the song at first. His vocals were crazy good, but I was "ehhh". The more I listened to it, I learned to love it. My mom even really likes it! Can't wait for his album to drop in May 12th. And if it's not good, I'll tell you.

3) Dreams. This one is funky, but hear me out. I day dream every time I go for a walk, and I go for a lot of walks. I usually make up scenarios about my future (which is what adults day dream about I guess....). Many people know my two dream jobs are The Digital Fairy (a graphic design company) and Bleach London (a hair colorist salon). Many people also know that they are unachievable because they are both in England and require actual talent, which I don't have. I actually went to college for graphic design in hopes I could save money for England and get that graphic design job. But in my day dreams, I have one of my dream jobs, but am more social than I am now and go out with my coworkers and I really love my job. These day dreams kind of keep my mind occupied from the reality of my real life. SO DAY DREAMS ARE MY FAVORITE!!!!!!

4) Sitting outside. This is so simple that it's cliche. But with all this nice weather we're having in my state, the fresh air is so nice. I even shaved my legs and wore shorts (which is a BIG DEAL). I sit in my backyard a lot on the outdoor swinging bench we have, listening to music. I'm even writing this post on my deck right now, with the sun shining and the wind blowing. I could do without the wind, though.

5) Sekirankai.com. This online shop is brand new and just opened but I'm already in love. They're tagline on their page is "We produce high quality conversation apparel that spark discussion regarding social issues--in rad style." There are shirts for both genders and I just bought a shirt that says "Here's to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them." (WHERE WAS THIS SHOP DURING MY GIRL POWER POST?!?!) PLUS, they have up to 4XL which is so exciting for people like me! I reached out to Sekirankai and they gave me a discount code for 10% purchases! If you DO purchase something, let me know because I could win something for a future giveaway!! Go here to go to the shop (  X  )

** Don't forget that I have a Soaestheticshop.com sponsorship too for the younger crowd!! Enter 'hubrex' when you check out to get a 10% discount! Let me know if you buy anything because it could help us both lol**

Ladies All Across the World

Thursday, April 6, 2017

I have always been told that I was "strong". Strong-minded, strong because of everything I've been through and I'm still here. I used to hate it. "I'm not strong, I was born this way and I went through everything else because I was forced to." As I got older, I overcame my problems and was no longer connected to that word. As the fight for equality rises these days, as do women's marches around the world, strong women are taking over. But I started questioning myself: "I was strong because I went through painful surgeries. But I'm not a strong woman. I post about fundamental rights on Instagram but  I don't go to marches because of my anxiety in huge crowds. I was told I couldn't attend shop class in high school because I was a girl but I never stood up for myself. I'm a fraud." But as I was asking around for quotes for this post, someone very nice wrote to me "As someone who is working on something you're passionate about, you're definitely a strong woman." We don't all HAVE to be labeled as strong women, but I think it's something I, myself, aspire to be called. And really, talking to all these girls about what their interpretations are really helped me see a bit of my self worth. Thank you to all the women who helped out with this article. It helped ME and I hope it helps some of you!

I asked multiple girls some questions and started with the big one: "What does being a strong woman mean to you?" And these are their responses:

Not being afraid to be weak or ugly- and owning the things I find embarrassing :P - Molly Soda (Twitter, Instagram)

"I won't put up with this anymore" - Jade

To me, being a strong woman means understanding your worth, even when others don't acknowledge it. In our society, women are devalued so often and it makes it easy to lose sight of your own potential. It's important to remember that this lack of acknowledgment doesn't mean that your worth and potential aren't there. And being a strong women doesn't mean you have to be tough and sturdy all the time, you're allowed to break sometimes, you just have to know that when you do, you can build yourself back up -Emy

It means being able to build other strong women up with me in a way that men can't (and look badass while doing it) - Natalie

To me, it's a state of being and that can mean being strong in many different ways for people. It means being able to get out of bed in the mornings and going to work in the morning when I mentally can't. It means being able to say no to others when you need to recharge. It's going to the gym and working outside of your comfort zone. It's things like this, a state of mind, that I think strength is. - Nicole.

When they know exactly who they are and what they want in life. -Michelle

For me, being a strong woman means being bold and fearless. I feel that sometimes women get looked down on and people think we can't achieve things...but honestly fuck those standards. - Laura

Being a strong woman to me means being comfortable with yourself in a sense that you are able to handle what life hands you. I'm still working on that whole self confidence thing but I do feel that to be a strong woman you need to feel somewhat comfortable. Also, you gotta be cool with other women succeeding. To be strong you have to love and celebrate other strong women. -Mavis (YouTube)

Being a strong woman means that I manifest humility. It means that I'm compassionate towards others and exemplify courage. Being a strong woman means I am able to endure social injustice with great fortitude. I am able to persevere in times of inquietude. It means that I don't give up. It means that I am passionate. It means I am able to express my individuality with makeup, fashion, hair color and style. Being a strong woman means sticking up for our rights, our bodies, and the equality we deserve. -Natalia

Being a strong woman means being vulnerable, honest, and open- Adwoa Aboah (Instagram, Website)

Who are your favorite girl singers:

My favorite girl singer is Sia. She has a powerful voice and I think her lyrics are beautiful. I highly recommend listening to her Spotify Sessions because you get a different understanding of the songs, if that makes sense. -Laura

My favorite lady singer is Alanis Morrissette. Jagged Little Pill is the epitome of anger and fuckboys and anger towards fuckboys and it makes me feel so powerful when I belt out "You Outta Know" in my car. But my favorite girl GROUP is of course the Spice Girls. Not only because of their songs, but because they preached equality whether it be on stage or on the set of photo shoots. Girl power all around. OH WAIT AND LITTLE MIX! They make me feel alive.  - Megan

I am obsessed with a website called La Femme Collective and they were SUPER great and answered some of my questions to them:

1)What made La Femme Collective come to be?

"LFC came to be due to a frustration with the way women were being treated in STEM fields. I was doing research on the Grace Hopper Conference for Women in Computing and felt discouraged yet also inspired by the gender gap I was noticing through my research. I decided to channel these feelings of disappointment into something productive - an open platform for women to talk about their careers and discuss the highs and lows of being a working woman."

2) People can submit their own stories on the site. Have you ever been inspired by anything you've read?

"Every day. I love getting submissions so much - it makes me feel like what I’m doing is resonating with people. But to take it a step further, it also inspires me to hear stories of all of these women all over the world who are hustling hard to make their dreams come true, no matter what their dreams may be. Their hustle makes ME want to hustle harder and give more with LFC."

3)The word "entrefemmeur" is used across the website. For people who don't know, can you explain what that means?

"An entrefemmeur is a woman who chases what she wants career-wise and makes it happen! We coined the term to honor our features, who are all hardworking women working to make dreams happen. Small and big challenges alike, they’re all pushing boundaries and achieving goals they set for themselves."

4) What does being a strong woman mean to you?

"To me, a strong woman is someone who knows what she wants, how she wants it, and works every day to get one step closer to that even if it’s a small step. It’s okay if all of that changes throughout your life; in fact, it most likely will. But as long as you’re working towards it each and every day, that’s strength."

For a (VERY SPECIAL) treat, the awesome online shop, So Aesthetic, is sponsoring this blog and this post!  They have a "girl power" shirt that is perfect for every girl (or guy!) who loves girls and their power!! Click this link ( x ) to find the shirt! They also have so many other things you guys might like, and if you use the code "hubrex" you can get 10% off! An Interview with: Clock & Candle Co.

Sunday, March 12, 2017

I met Nick, 1/2 of the business Clock & Candle Co., in 6th grade. We became friends and never looked back. When I found out he started a soap company (at that point, they ONLY sold soaps), I bought something right away. I love supporting small businesses, ESPECIALLY if they're friends'. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The soaps smelled amazing and even better, my hands felt great after using them! I got another one for a family member's Christmas gift and she loved it too. Now that Clock & Candle is selling more and more products, it's exciting to watch it grow. I decided to interview Nick to show everyone a behind the scenes look AND to show how wonderful this company is. AND for all my followers, don't forget to look at the bottom of this post! There's a special surprise!!!!!

1) What made you want to get into the soap business
✨So I can't take all of the credit, the whole shop itself was founded by both myself and my cousin with just a wild curiosity and a couple of YouTube video viewing sessions up our sleeves.

2) Disney has a big influence on you and your products. What gave you the idea to combine your products with Disney?
✨"big" is an understatement, you should really call us mouse ear wearing fanatics. The whole foundation and reasoning of us starting the shop was to take all of the profit that we have made and use that towards taking our entire family back to Walt Disney World after that major depression you have on the last day of your vacation. We made a promise that the only thing they had to do was pack for the trip. That drive motivates us to this day.

3) For your customers that are new, what all do you sell?
✨We like to believe that we are not only a shop for the Disney kids, whether that be actual kids or just the ones at heart, but that our products can hold up against major retailers. Every product that we sell: Bar soap, bath bombs, Lotion melts, lip balms, etc. all have a major hygienic and cruelty-free function that just so happens to have the subtle but perfect amount of pixie dust.

4) Is there a certain product that you have been eyeing to make but just haven't done it yet?
✨ We are always trying to be innovative and supply what is demanded. But at the same time wanting to deliver newer products that you can't buy at your normal overly-priced bath product shop. At the moment, I'm really aiming for "Fresh Facial Masks." It's a work in progress right now but it's going through it's trial and error and experimental phase as we speak.

5) Which product is your best seller
✨There's something very classic and almost nostalgic with our hand crafted bar soaps, but bath bombs are the thing to have right now! So those are probably the items we have to restock the most of.

6) Tell me about YOUR favorite product
✨This one is a tough one... I'll stick with our classic soap, either between our "Beneath the Sea" or "Lost Boy" scents. Depends on if I'm feeling merman-ish or rough around the edges. However, after these masks become perfected it'll probably be those. I'm a sucker for a good facial.

7) I need a new movie on Netflix to watch. Give me a suggestion.
✨If we are sticking to the Disney theme, Walt Before Mickey was pretty good, and David Henrie is in it and he's a babe. But if we are thinking non-Disney related: The Little Prince.
SIDE NOTE: if that doesn't entice you, the CW app/website is steaming Riverdale and that is my latest obsession. #Jughead4Lyfe

Top 5 // September 27th, 2016

Tuesday, September 27, 2016

I have some new people on here, so to recap to you what Top 5 is, it's everything I'm enjoying at the moment. It can be items, places, anything really!

1) Somebody Else music video by The 1975. (This number is kind of late, bear with me). The band, The 1975, are incredibly nice people (trust me) and they put on the heck of a show (I've seen them live twice). When the lead singer, Matty Healy, was performing at the most recent concert of theirs I attended, I couldn't help but stare up at him like a God. I was also 3rd row, so I literally had to stare up....Now, their music videos are always entertaining to watch. Their newest one, Somebody Else, is taken off their newest album. At first when I saw it was 8 minutes I was like "nahhh. Too long to watch." WHAT WAS I THINKING!??! I LOVE THIS BAND. So I finally watched it and it was GOOD. As it was going on, I was entertained, and then at the end of it, I audibly said: "Ohhhhh!" There is simple plot twist at the end that I honestly wasn't expecting. I love videos that tell a story. And this one hits it on the head with everything I enjoy.

2) Clock and Candle soaps. If you follow me on social media, you probably have seen me promoting them but I assure you that I am not being sponsored by them. I just think they're great (even if I have known one of the owners since middle school). It's a team of 2 hardworking people who hand make Disney inspired soaps. Even if you're not a huge Disney fan (AKA me), the smell of the soaps are enough to keep me buying more. I also am in love with the different designs that they create in the soaps. They're unique and cute. I have already bought a holiday gift for a family member from them and I assure you that I will by more.
Clockandcandleco.com

3) Cedarburg's Wine and Harvest Festival. I understand that everyone can't make it to Wisconsin to attend this festival every September, but those that do, it's great, huh??! To give a simple low-down on it, you walk down streets and streets where booths of crafts, food and drink are surrounding you. There are booths of everything, really: handmade jewelry, shirts, outdoor and home decor, vintage items, baby merchandise, felt crafts, American girl outfits, kettle corn, blonde root beer stations, and lots of lots of food and alcohol booths. I actually got something called 'mule' for the first time, which was a drink that consisted of pinto grigio, apple, cranberry, and ginger beer. It was good but they didn't juice the cranberry's and I am NOT a fan of seeds in my drinks...anyway, I bought a beautiful handmade wire ring, sassy socks, kettle corn, and a big geode from the Gem Shop they have there. I DO have to warn people, there are thousands upon THOUSANDS of people who attend the two days and I know a lot of people who have panic attacks in groups of people. I would not advise this festival for people who are not good with crowds. But if you're fine in crowds, you should definitely attend this fest at least once (and it's only 30 minutes outside of Milwaukee!)

4) Portable chargers. This one is something that is really old but I'm suddenly obsessed with. I got a portable charger as a gift from my mom and I never opened it because I dismissed it as something that "probably wouldn't work very well." I FINALLY opened it since I was going on a road trip, put batteries in it, charged it up, and plugged it into my iPod. It immediately started charging my iPod and I was in awe. I thought it was the coolest thing and I'm not quite sure why. But now I bring my portable charger everywhere. It came in handy at a concert recently too. If you don't have one and you're going somewhere where there is no charge outlet, I suggest a cool as heck portable charger.

5) Teen Wolf. This TV series started in 2011 on MTV and I'm pretty late in the game but I recently found an actor named Daniel Sharman who I was instantly in love with. I then searched what shows he was in and lo and behold Teen Wolf was his claim to fame. I started the series from the beginning and now I'm on season 3 and can't stop. I do feel like the show is already dragging on a bit, but as long as Daniel is in it for now (he's only in 30 episodes), I'm content. The final season of Teen Wolf is coming up or maybe it already aired a bit, I'm not sure. But what I AM sure of, is that it starts off really cheesy but it gets better. I swear. (P.s. Daniel plays Isaac, the guy on the far left)

An Interview with Lulu

Wednesday, September 14, 2016

I believe I've been following Lulu on Tumblr for a little less than a year. I remember following her through a mutual person that we both followed. In that time span, I followed her on Twitter and Instgram and have seen her get into a cooler than cool beauty program, help at a fashion show, and now, living the life every cool girl would die to have. And she deserves it all. I haven't talked to her personally too much, but even sitting on the sidelines in America, I knew she was something special. I was beyond honored when she agreed to do this short little interview. I mean, I was so honored I put it as my Facebook status. I hope you all enjoy this wonderful lady named Lulu:

1) What is your job title at The Book Agency and what do you do?

"Lou Teasdale's assistant"

2) What are your favorite parts of your job?

"Playing with the endless makeup 😛💄"

3) I know you moved to London recently. Was it scary? Or was it more thrilling?

"Both. but mostly I was buzzing. Everyone is working and hustling in London it just motivated you every day."

4) Did you ever think that you'd be inspiring others and chasing your dreams like you are now?

"lol what no way! I don't even think I do that at allll. But that makes me happy :) "

5) What point in your life did you know what you wanted to do? Did you ever have periods where you questioned it?

"hmmm I mean even when I was little i wanted to be a hairdresser so I've always known i wanted something within the industry. I also think I'm kind of psychic so I figured things would work out some way some how 💭💭💭 I think I question if I'm good enough more than I question if this is the career I want. I'm 100% certain that it is!"

6) What advice would you give to young girls and guys who want to get into the beauty industry?

"Start ! Even if you think you're being not cool and too eager or keen chasing jobs or posting too many MOTD pics on insty you really will get further, get better, and make connections. Which is deffo cool."

What's your go-to movie?

"I rewatch 10 things I hate about you all the time but the movie thirteen is also a fave."

I've never been to England. Is Nando's really THAT good?

"I'm a vegetarian! So it's not that good to meee 🐥🐥"

What inspires you?
