The Giving Season

Thursday, December 13, 2018

I’d like to start off this post by stating that you should have a giving heart all year ‘round. Now, I’m not saying that I’m not nice to other people throughout the year, but during the Christmas/holiday season, the “niceness bug” really takes over me.

People ask me,especially this year, ”....do I have to give you something back?” I’m always astounded when I hear that. AND SO MANY PEOPLE SAY IT! My answer is always “Of course not, I just like making people smile. I’m not expecting anything in return.”

I wanted to write a post on here about what I (and YOU!) can do to show people you know or even strangers that you care about them. Some of these things take time and effort but some of them are a breeze. I hope this holiday season, you open your heart to others and spread the holiday cheer!

______

1) I make holiday cards every year. I always give them out way too early because I’m so excited about them. I order them through Vistaprint.com every year because they always have coupon codes and they always turn out great. On the front, for the past couple years, I put pictures of what I did that year and I make sure that I get it blank on the back side because I write a personalized hand-written note on each and every card. This year I had to up my card count and bought 100 cards. I’m a anxious person in the sense that everything I create, I want to give out ASAP. I just get too excited. I gave out a lot of my cards before Thanksgiving this year (DON’T JUDGE ME). I love the smile on people’s face when I hand them out. It makes me happy.

2) Speaking of Christmas cards, last year I put on social media how my younger brother never gets cards for theholidays and he gets kind of sad about it. WOW, did I get a response. My brother recieved an uncountable number of cards (and even some gifts!) from around the world. It just gave me faith in caring humans. Cards mean a lot.

3) I’m not very good at baking. It’s a known fact. My simple chocolate chip cookies turn out runny or flat. But holiday baking gives me some sort of joy. I bake to give the goodies as gifts to friends or other kind people. This year I stepped out of my comfort zone and made Andes dark chocolate cookies and butter cinnamon cookies (that taste like snicker-doodles) for the first time. They turned out GREAT! I made some other treats and I can’t wait to give these away (I worked so hard so I hope they enjoy it!)

4) This year, I’m trying something new. I saw on Twitter that the website Kindly has something going on where you sign up to write a letter to an elderly person to give them some cheer for the holidays. It’s England based and I’m from the US but I’m going to get some stamps and send the letter. They’re suppose to email you with a name, an address, and some facts about the person. They have yet to email me back (I JUST sent them the confirmation email though, so I need to wait a bit) but I’m so excited!

5) Last Christmas eve, I went to a friend’s house with some other friends as a little holiday gathering. We didn’t buy gifts for each other, we just drank wine and ate cheese spread. It was fun to catch up with everyone and I recommend getting together with someone during this season to just have a nice time and relax from all the stress that comes with the month of December. This isn’t really a “giving” tip, but it’s a great tip nonetheless.

6) I usually am either really good at buying gifts or completely useless. Last year, I was pretty useless. It was an off-year for me. Now, I’m not saying buying gifts and spending lots of money is the way to go (please see above with other tips) but I don’t know, giving gifts makes me happy, I guess. I never expect anything back and it’s always a surprise when people do reciprocate. My new coworker was talking about how her name is unique and she never could find anything with her name on it and she was so sad about it. I just secretly made and ordered a mug with her name on it. I can’t wait to give her the gift. She’s not expecting it and that’s the best part. Surprises can

definitely be fun!

I hope these experiences of mine can trigger something in your mind about how YOU can spread cheer this season, too. But remember: have fun with it!

Holiday Shopping Guide

Sunday, December 2, 2018

Hello dear Megan Hubrex readers! I've never done a post like this before so I'm SO excited! I see so many "shopping guides" on fashion blogs or a "$10 and under!" blog posts full of things to buy and links where they get paid when you click on them. So here's the deal with me:

I never get paid for any posts or links that I post.

I will not accept money. I blog because I love it and at the current time, even though I'm a broke young adult, this is not a full time job for me. I understand where bloggers are coming from though: everyone needs money. I just don't want to get caught up in it and lose my love of writing.

All in all, every link I post, I post it because I love it. I have never received free things (which is something I WOULD accept, though...). So please keep in mind that during this post, all of these shops are helping me (and YOU!) out of the goodness of their heart.

Now onto this fun post:

First things first, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I went searching high and low for cute little shops and small businesses to put together my own shopping guide for this holiday season for my readers! They are all so different from each other and it's great. The best part?

ALL OF THESE SHOPS COME WITH DISCOUNT CODES.

I'm going to make a list of my favorite things from the shops to give a reference of what they sell! I hope you'll utilize this guide to support these small businesses this holiday season, because they definitely deserve it.

2018 Rewind

Tuesday, November 27, 2018

Last year, I wrote on the blog about my “2017 rewind”, in which I turned a YouTube tradition into a blog platform and you know what? It was one of my biggest clicked on and read posts! I was actually really surprised that people wanted to read about what I did that year, but it was cool. Thanks for being interested in me!! So on that note, how about a 2018 rewind?! It’s not QUITE the end of the year, but with the holidays approaching and me working a retail job, I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to post this! NOW, I have a surprise announcement at the end of this post, so make sure you read the bottom of this post!

So here we go, in no particular order of when they happened and which was my favorite adventure, here’s what I did in 2018:

1) Bachelorette Party in Miami, Florida. Calm down, it wasn’t ME getting married, it was one of my friends. But it was a great getaway with great girls and I had the time of my life. I went swimming in the ocean, ate food on the boardwalk, and drank my weight in watermelon water they served free at the pool (which we spent so much time at, that I got the worst sunburn of my life. Whoops!). (P.s I'm on the left!)

2) Meeting My Favorite Author. Anna Todd writes the After series and those books have been with me through a lot. And this year I met Anna! Here’s a really blurry picture of us (I’m not sure where the good quality picture is...) I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE ‘AFTER’ MOVIE IN THEATERS 2019!!!

3) My Orange Hair. Now, this is just put on the list because it was an iconic look. I mixed Bleach London dye with ION dye. Truly memorable.

4) My Second Harry Styles Concert. The first one was last year and this past June was my second time seeing him and it was just as glorious (SHOUT OUT TO MARY FOR COMING WITH ME!). He has such a stage presence that the only time I almost fell asleep was from his opening act. He was wonderful.

5) My Birthday/ Birthday Party. I had my golden birthday this year and I invited my favorite people to come celebrate with me. For my party, we ate food, had a bonfire and I drank too much to the point of where I was dancing by myself in my backyard at 2 AM. Then for my actual birthday, I saw Hotel Transylvanina 3 in theaters and went thrift shopping all day. It was a great birthday.

6) The Kesha Concert. I have a tradition (albeit only 2 years running) where I go with my friend, Noe, to Summerfest in Wisconsin. This year we went to see Kesha. We waited for hours, most of it in the pouring rain, to see her and let me tell you, she did not disappoint. She WAS super drunk and that kind of took away from it a bit but other than THAT, it was very fun. (I decided to add this picture of Noe and I because I know he’d appreciate being on my blog).

7) My Book. Welcome to the Middle, Kid was released in January. Almost a year ago! This book has been a whirlwind of adventures but my favorite part was being the guest speaker at a luncheon and doing a Q&A. It was surreal that people LIKED my book. It’s still a little weird to me because even though it’s my own life story, I’m my own biggest critic. But I’m VERY thankful for WTTMK!!!

8) My Play. This play I was in was small, but I was the main character and got amazing feedback that left me on cloud 9. It reminded me how much I love acting and it’s something I’m actually GOOD at! Here’s a picture someone took of me onstage!

Okay, I didn’t put EVERYTHING on this list, but I like to give some shout outs via first name only for being with me this year:

Ashley: For going to the pub every Thursday to get half price drafts with me and never judging me. (Here's me having fun on a Thursday:)

Noe: For being down with going on adventures with me.

Lindsey and Chris: For being so amazing to me when I drove 5 hours to see you guys. I hope I can visit again!
My new coworkers: I love going to work because of you guys. Thank you.

(I MAY HAVE MISSED SOME PEOPLE BUT I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!)

Here’s to an even better 2019!

Now, here’s the surprise: I’m doing another giveaway! This time, I’ll be doing an online gift card because HOPEFULLY it will be able to be international and everyone can enter! I'll most likely be buying a Visa Gift Card so you can buy what you want!!! All I need is to hit 10K views and I’ll do the giveaway! Also, this post will NOT be a podcast episode and the giveaway will be on my blog ONLY. I’m so excited!!!

Top 5 Things of Fall 2018

Wednesday, October 24, 2018

FALL IS HERE!! Where I live, it definitely feels like fall, but it took until the middle of October to do so. I really do love fall, though. The nice breeze during the days, the crisp mornings, I don’t know, I just love it all. So I decided to make a podcast/post for my top things I love about fall. I’ll put link and pictures where applicable!

1) Pumpkins. More specifically, pumpkin SEEDS. Now, I couldn’t care less about carving pumpkins. I kind of find that boring. But I will gut those pumpkins to get the seeds. I love, LOVE, eating pumpkin seeds. Cooked, of course. But holy cow are they good. And good FOR you! Everyone has different recipes, for example my dad, who dries out the seeds overnight before he cooks them. I’ll put my favorite (and easiest) recipe below. Be careful to put exact amounts of oil (or a little less!!!!) because I put too much in last year and let me tell you, my stomach was mad at me...
(P.s. I use garlic salt as a seasoning. It's amazing tasting. AND make sure you wash your seeds in a bowl of water to get some of the pumpkin gunk off!)

2 1/2 cups pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup canola oil
1 tsp garlic powder

Preheat oven to 375°F. Stir pumpkin seeds, oil and seasoning until the seeds are evenly coated. Pour seeds onto a greased baking sheet with sides. Roast seeds for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, or until golden and crunchy.

2) Stranger Things (and other fall shows). I don’t watch the actual television but I sometimes watch Netflix and the show Stranger Things always comes out in October and I LOVE that show, because I’m a si-fi geek a lil’ bit (fun fact). But this year on Netflix, the Sabrina reboot is happening in October and wow am I excited. It isn’t your family friendly Sabrina the Teenage Witch reboot, it’s really dark looking and it looks spooky and I’m ready to binge it as soon as it comes out!

3) Sweaters. I’m going to put the dumb song, Sweater Weather, underneath this number because I’m tired of it BUT I can’t say the phrase “sweater weather” without singing the song in my head. But I DO love the fall weather because I look so good in sweaters, if I can toot my own horn. And I like light long sleeves and I don’t have to bundle up my face during this fall chill, so yes, sweater weather is one of my favorite things.

4) Warm Drinks. I am obsessed with hot apple cider and granted, I can drink that in July, too, but it’s best in fall for some reason. It tastes LIKE fall. Which obviously is just a Megan thing because fall is not a food. I also really like the Salted Caramel Mocha Frap at Starbucks. It’s a “fall only” drink they come out with and they sprinkle salt on top of the drink and the mix of salty and sweet is heavenly.

5) Halloween. I obviously am obligated to put this on the list, but Halloween is actually my favorite holiday. I love dressing up and I haven’t been to a Halloween party since I was a junior in high school so I just dress up for myself and when you go to Chipotle you get a cheap burrito if you dress up so that’s cool (except this year they raised the burrito prices for Halloween and I'm slightly upset).  But I dress up as a celebrity every year and this year I’m very excited for my costume. WHAT WILL MEGAN BE??!?! You shall find out after October 31st!!!

Top 5: September 2018

Tuesday, September 11, 2018

'TOP 5' IS BACK! I posted a top 5 on my podcast in August but I didn't have the brilliant idea of linking my blog to my podcast at the time, hence the lack of "top 5 of august 2018." If you'd like to listen to that podcast specifically, the links are on the main page of this blog! Now, here goes September 2018's Top 5 of the Month:

1) The 1975 band. Okay let me explain: I've loved this band since 2014 when I met them for the first time. I've been to 2 concerts, one for each album they've put out and I just...love them. But recently I've become obsessed with them again. Mainly because they're new album is coming out soon! My favorite from their new music is TOO TIME (although they put it together as TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME which isn't even grammatically correct to begin with, but I'll let it slide because they're brilliant.)

2) Giving Friends. I had a friend who recently messaged me on Facebook that she saw that I liked a certain singer and she had her album and met the singer, but never listened to it. She asked if I wanted it. Free of charge and shipped to me. I of course said yes. And here to find out, it was a SIGNED album from when my friend met this artist! I'm an avid autograph collector (fun fact) so it was so exciting to receive this from the niceness of my friend's heart. What to know what artist it was? Go listen to my podcast (HAHA SHAMELESS PLUG!)

3) Pretzel Buns. I recently have been obsessed with ham and cheese pretzel bun sandwiches that I get at Target for lunch some times. Those buns are so soft and so fluffy and so expensive for some reason but GOSH I'd eat them all day long...

4) Garage Sales. You all will laugh at this one, but I made $50 for myself in my last garage sale and now my vacation fund is $50 more full. Gotta love getting rid of your old stuff, too!

5) Depop. Now, this resale app is my absolute favorite. You can get shirts, lots of band merch, makeup, jewelry, books, you name it. I have binges where I go and buy multiple things on there because I just HAVE to have it. I sometimes just put in random words in the search bar to see what comes up. It's so much fun. This app doesn't work on computers, but I can use it on my iPod just fine.

Thanks for reading about my top 5 favorite things this month! Listen to the new podcast episode HERE:

Book Q&A

Sunday, September 2, 2018

I asked some people to ask me questions about my self published book, Welcome to the Middle, Kid. I got some great questions that I had a blast answering. Thank you to all the people who was asked these wonderful questions! Also, I’m posting this blog before releasing my podcast but
during my podcast, I’ll talk about some different aspects of my writing of the book, so stay tuned!

What was the easiest part of writing?

I feel like the easiest part of the whole writing process was when I sat down at a coffee shop or on my couch and I had no distractions and just wrote for 2 hours. This is kind of a run-around of the question because for some reason it was hard for me to answer but I’d say when you have no

distractions and unlimited coffee refills at Starbucks, that made writing so much easier.

What was the hardest part of writing?

Now, this answer I know right away. The hardest part was remembering things. If you’ve read my book, you know that I started having rapid memory loss at ages 21 and 22. I can’t remember my childhood, middle school, high school, and college in the sense that I remember snippets but not whole memories. I had to ask my mom a lot of questions and that was difficult on her as well. That’s why my book is so small, I can’t remember my life very well. So that was DEFINITELY the hardest
part.

Favorite thing that has happened to you post publishing?
My 2 talks I gave! I absolutely love public speaking and when I got asked to talk about the mental health portion of my book, I jumped on it. I had a Q&A during one talk and got some really
good feedback on what my readers were thinking when reading the book, so that was cool. I have an author poster that I made for my events and it’s oddly so awesome to me. My face on a big
poster. Nice.

What was your biggest inspiration to write?
The people in my life and the people around me. Whenever I told someone about my life story, they always said I should write a book. I always liked writing and was really good at it, although I didn’t realize it until later on in my life. But a book? No way. Except one day, I wanted to write a blog on my experiences and when I did, I decided a book is actually a really good idea. It gave me
something to do so I didn’t go insane because I had many days off work in the sense that I wasn’t getting any hours. So I sat down, wrote my first draft, it was awful, I stopped for about a year, then revised the draft and started writing more. So to the people who told me that they would read a book I wrote about my life, thanks.

Who are your favourite writers/books?

I love the After series by Anna Todd even though some people very much hate it. I LOVE IT OKAY?! When I was in high school and college, I used to be obsessed with the book Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie and I even wanted to get a tattoo to remind me how much I loved the book, but that didn’t play out. As a writer, I took inspiration from Shane Dawson’s book, It Get’s Worse in the sense that I wanted to make an essay book. That’s why the second half of the book is so random, because I’m trying to play off Shane (and it didn’t really work out...maybe book two I’ll do it!)

What part was the most rewarding?

This seems dumb, but I think when people showed me pictures of the book when they received it or were reading it. It was so surreal that people liked me enough to read a silly old book I wrote that was only 100 pages. Plus, I always knew I wanted my face on the cover so it’s cool that people are seeing my face everywhere, even if it’s kind of an unflattering picture...

What was the process like from start to publishing?
To keep it fairly short, I don’t have Word so I started my writing my first draft in Notebook, which is an awful application to write a book in. But during my second draft, I got my hands on a better
application to write on and I couldn’t stop writing from November 2017 to when I published it, which was January 1st, 2018. It seems like a short time to write it all, but I already had some written chapters and some memories I wrote down a few years before so I just revised the heck out of them, which really only took a couple of days or sometimes just hours. I’m extremely impulsive so the minute I got done writing it, I made my cover, got some quotes for the back of the book from some friends, and then found a self publishing company online. I put it all together after Christmas 2017 and I was just so excited about it, that I released it shortly after. Yes, it has spelling mistakes and it’s nowhere near perfect ( I have no idea how to find an editor and I don’t have much money), but it’s my favorite thing I’ve ever done.

Again, I want to thank everyone who asked these questions and I hope you guys got some good insight on how I wrote my book and enjoyed reading about it! When the podcast episode comes out, I'll link you guys to it!

Bleach London

Friday, August 31, 2018

I feel like I always talk about Bleach London (which is a hair salon in England that now sells vegan make up and hair dyes and products). I always wanted to work there. I love dyeing my hair funky colors and I always felt I would thrive there...ANYWAY, I made a podcast about Bleach London and decided to connect the things I talked about on there with links and pictures on here! It won’t be put in the order that you hear on the podcast, but it really doesn’t matter (and I bet you couldn’t tell until I told you). I'm going to write about the things I like instead of the things on the podcast that I said I wasn't crazy about. I'll put the link to each product underneath the pictures!!!

-------

1) Tangerine Dream.
This hair dye is an orange color and really worked for me, but lasted way longer than it said (which I enjoyed, honestly).

2)  Reincarnation Mask.
Want your hair to smell amazing while it gets super soft? Bleach London has GOT you.

3) Smoky Conditioner
My hair has gotten so many compliments from this conditioner/toner. It really, really works and I love my hair right now because of it. You only need to use it every other day at first and then when you get the color you want, just use to it upkeep it when you need to!

4) Leave it, Yeah.
This leave in conditioner is definitely growing on me. Make sure you shake it up first! Then spray it in your hand and work it through your hair but try not to get your roots as it may make it oily.

5) Hair Elixir
I have to admit that I need some more of this stuff because I ran out but it makes my ends so soft and makes my hair smell amazing (says me). Put some drops in your hands, rub it together a bit, then work it through your ends of your hair!

6) Illuminati
My favorite makeup product...maybe ever? This illuminator looks great on my skin and I get so many compliments when I wear it. I can't go to a night out without wearing it!

---------

Now, here's the link to Bleach London as a whole: XX

I can't wait to try everything they offer!!

Moms Rule the World

Wednesday, April 11, 2018

I am not a mother. But hey! I have a mother! A wonderful mother, at that. And I have so many friends on Facebook who are moms, so I thought I’d write a collaborating post dedicated to moms! I want this post to connect with moms young and old because I feel like life is all about connection! Enjoy the post and I hope your children are happy and healthy (as are you)!

People on this post:
-Courtney
-Rona
-Corrynn
-Brianna

1) How many kids do you have and what are the age (s)?

Courtney: “2 spunky little boys. Ages 3 & 4"

Rona: "I have two kids. Zoe is 8 and Henry is 6"

Corrynn: “3 ages 10-16 (the teenage years are here) lol”

Brianna: “1 kid, she's 22 months old”

2) What are the best parts of being a mom?

Courtney: “Teaching them new things and learning their growing personalities.”

Rona: “I would say the unconditional love you're receiving from them. You give birth and you nurture them and you raise them what you feel is best and you see them grow up and become these amazing young human beings and you always have to pinch yourself like "have I really created this amazing little human being"?”

Corrynn: “Best parts are being with my kids and seeing me in the things they do.”

Brianna: “I love that having a kid has taught me things I didn't know about myself and I learned what love really is. I love waking up to her sweet voice in the morning, I love being there for all her firsts her rolling/steps/words. I love how fearless she is always wanting to try something new and that when she needs help I'm the first person she comes to. The best part is knowing that I'm her protector and her doctor, if something scares her she yells my name first and I can kiss all the booboos away.”

3) What are the hardest parts of being a mom?

Courtney: “ATTITUDE”

Rona: “Def. the self doubt of 'am I doing it right'? You will have moments where you def. will get confirmation that your efforts have been perfectly right but then you also have moments where you're just pulling your hair out and you're questioning all you have done and do and if it is the right way or approach.”

Corrynn: “Hardest parts are not knowing whose got good advice and not being able to fix everything for your kid.”

Brianna: “The hardest part of being a mom for me is that I'm a single mom and I'm always so tired but there's never a moment to rest. I can't shower, do laundry, cook a meal or even poop alone, not even if I wanted to. Also your friend group changes. I had dozens of people I talked to on a daily basis before I got pregnant but now that I have a baby I'm lucky if I talk to one adult that's my friend during the day.”

4) Is there things you do as a mom that you wouldn’t have thought you’d be doing before having kids? For example, dislodging things from noses or taking kids to tons of activities?

Courtney: “Poop. Just poop. Everywhere”

Rona: “One thing I know has changed my thought process a ton is going to the grocery store and hearing another kid scream... before having kids I always thought 'poor kid' but now I would love to go to that kid and tell him or her to get his or her act together and be appreciative and nice to his/ her mother or father lol... Wiping butts and noses and smelling odor.. you just grow into it. You're losing also a lot more privacy during child birth where I thought I would feel so uncomfortable but when you're in the moment you just don't care... you just let it all happen and go for the ride.”

Corrynn: “Before I became a mom I had no idea how much poop they make or how cute they can be even when "baking a cake" using your cell phone, oil, eggs, and flour in their toy chest.”

Brianna: “I never thought I would have to tell someone to keep their clothes on so much, I swear I can't leave the room without her getting naked sometimes. Same thing with boobs I constantly have to tell her to keep her hands out of my shirt. She even grabs other people's sometimes and I just apologize like 'sorry my kid groped you'. Surrounding myself with mom friends, friends that only have other kids because they get what it's like.”

5) Share a fun fact about YOURSELF!

Courtney: “I love photography”

Rona: “I would say I'm a very fun filled person, always out and about. I try to start the day always very positive and not rushed so everyone can have a great start into the day. I like to have things in order and I'm very organized but I would say I'm a fun mom. I love to cook and bake and dance and I am a very active person.”

Corrynn: “I can burp the alphabet and my kids can't (Not for lack of trying)”

Brianna: “Before having a kid I thought I knew who I was and that I had my shit together. Now that I have a kid my life's a mess in so many ways but when I look in the mirror I see the world's strongest woman.”

Thank you SO much to these amazing women! And I just want to apologize to the women who didn't make it into this post. I had such a big reaction when I asked for help for this post that I couldn't fit everyone! You all are still wonderful! Thank you.

Where Have I Been?!

Thursday, April 5, 2018

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO  MEGAN HUBREX?!? Good question. Now, let me start by saying how sorry I am that I haven't been on here much. I feel like I've been so busy! I also feel like I don't have anything on here to write! I'm out of ideas (for now). If anyone has anything they want to read about, let me know!

So I decided to tell you why I've been absent! Here's a look into my life:

1) Number 1 is obviously my book. I've been selling, signing, and talking up my book everywhere. AND I HAVE MY FIRST EVER TALK THIS MAY! I wrote a 15 minute speech about my life and my journey writing my book. I'm so excited! At first I was like "15 minutes?! That's way too long, how am I suppose to talk that long?" Then one day, I had 4 cups of coffee, sat down, and wrote that darn speech. I think it's pretty good! We'll see in May, I guess!

2) My portfolio is a big reason why I'm busy. So, I really want to get into website design with the subject of fashion. I just want to make fashion websites, really. I have a specific job in mind and they need me to have film, photo, and website building background. I'm working on my photo portfolio right now. I love the subject of humans so I've been taking many pictures. Here are some:

3) Work. There's really not an explanation for this one. You guys get it.

4) Traveling! I've been to 3 states since February of this year. 2 were for fun. I went against my fear of driving far and went on 5 hour road trip to my friends house and it was such a great time. I would definitely do it again EVERY WEEKEND (if I could).

So you see? I haven't been neglecting this blog, I've just had a lot going on! I hope you understand!

Top 5 of Life: January 2018

Monday, January 22, 2018

IT’S THE FIRST TOP 5 OF 2018!! I hope everyone is keeping to their resolutions and if their not, I’m with them right now. And now, here’s the fan favorite Top 5!

1) Lady Bird. Now, this is an indie movie but it’s getting nominated this award season for all kinds of awards. And it should win all of them. I saw this movie with my mom and we literally traveled to see it. It’s not as funny as the adverts show but more heart-wrenching. I cried through the whole second half of it. I definitely connected with it. Not a movie for certain people who think indie movies are boring. My dad would not like it, in all honesty. But it was a GREAT film to me.

(Here's a still of the movie with a very cute boy in it)

2) Peanuts. So, I’ve been on a “diet”. Not going the best and I keep fluctuating with my weight during it, which HAS to be bad for my body....but I was always a big night eater. I never ate entire meals, but just a lot of snacks. I decided to get a huge bag of peanuts in the shell and eat them at night during my cravings. Now, I eat the shell if it too which is not healthier than just eating the inside. But it’s better than eating tons of chocolate or carbs! Plus, I can’t stop eating them...they’re addicting!

3) The Greatest Showman soundtrack. I saw this movie the other day and went in the theater, not even knowing the premise. I knew they sang a bit, but I didn’t even know it was a musical, either. But it turned out to be SO GOOD! And I normally dislike musicals. The soundtrack was one of the best I’ve heard in a while and it had my toes tapping through all of it. I’m currently listening to it on Spotify right now. “The Greatest Show” is currently my favorite song.

4) Baking. Most people will think this is weird but I’m here to let you know that I can NOT bake or cook. I’m just so bad at it. Since I’m trying to eat healthier, I’ve been baking a lot because I love my sweets, especially at night. I think only one recipe was actually okay, the rest were terrible. It’s not me, though, it’s the gross healthy ingredients, I swear! But honestly, I’m having a good time doing it. It’s actually fun to me. I’m in no way wanting to be a baker, but I’m enjoying it until I get bored.

5) MY BOOK! I’m going to write another post about it, too, but I wrote and self published a book! It’s an autobiography about my life with mental health and some other mini adventures I’ve had. It’s not for some people, but for other people, I’ve had nothing but amazing reactions, which makes me shocked every time I hear that someone loves it. I’m my own manager and it’s VERY hard and I’ve had some sad days with it, but the other days are just me being so happy about it. If you want to check it out, the link is here: X
